Years in Stratford
For the past 25 years, Michael has worked in mental health as a Psychosocial Rehabilitation Specialist, first with the Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT) and later with Seniors’ Mental Health. He continues to find his work incredibly rewarding.

“When we invest in a person’s life early—especially through education—we’re not just changing that person’s future. We’re building a stronger community, reducing the need for supports later in life and improving the quality of life for everyone. Education is one of the best investments we can make.”
Michael has always believed that being part of a community means finding ways to give back.
With four kids, deep community involvement, and a active music career, Michael jokes that there isn’t much spare time! But when he finds some, he enjoys:
Michael is a strong advocate for children and youth who are struggling with mental health concerns, learning disabilities and the many other challenges that can make school and life difficult.
He passionately believes that every student deserves the opportunity to discover their strengths, find their passions and succeed in their own way.
Michael is a lifelong musician and touring artist. He has released 10 full-length projects, multiple EPs, and has recorded and produced albums for other artists.
Today, he continues to tour across Canada, North America, and internationally with his award-winning Stratford-based band, Upside of Maybe—including a recent 10-day tour of Japan.
